Brian Purnell has been named as one of three finalists for the Aguilar School District Superintendency. Mr. Purnell is truly excited about the opportunity to join the team in Aguilar. He states, "Before applying, I took the time to learn as much as I could about the Aguilar School District, and the more I explored, the more I felt drawn to this community. Our values align closely, and I am eager to contribute to a district that prioritizes student growth and strong relationships." Mr. Purnell has 13 years of experience in educational leadership, serving as an Assistant Principal, Principal, and Superintendent. Believing true leadership begins with service and treating everyone with respect and dignity, he states, "The hallmark of my leadership is character and that instilling these values in students is essential." Mr. Purnell and his wife and fellow educator, Summer have a seven-year-old daughter who is finishing 1st grade. He is passionate about archery hunting and enjoys fishing and golfing. The family loves taking their Australian Shepherds on hikes and exploring new trails in the mountains.
